LESSON 25: AS A MAN THINKETH

Image
As a man thinketh in his heart so is he clearly indicates the principle behind the effect of the thoughts that we tend to give most of our time. A man life is guided by what he thinks of most of the time, and actions that we tend to have in our daily routine are as a result of the thoughts that we have. The idea that things are created twice shows that most of the result that we get is as a result of having a thought and later taking actions. Things are created twice, once in our imagination or thought and the second it is through our actions. Most people complain on their circumstances and missed opportunities without realizing that they are the cause of their own circumstances. It is through their own thought process that different circumstances are put in effect. You can’t expect to be successful while having the wrong thoughts or thoughts of never making it. Good thoughts are manifested through good actions and bad thoughts are manifested through the wrong action...

LESSON 24: BELIEF

Image
BELIEF As you know am always obsessed with knowing why other people make it and some live a mediocre life, and have always wanted to find what is the difference between this two kinds of people. Why  is it someone has a life full of abundance and happiness while at the same time someone in the same position might be living a life full of misery. So far from my previous articles we’ve been able to differentiate some of the core fundamentals of such two groups. And to add on that there is also one key thing that has to be considered and that is belief.  Many successful people are people who have self-confident and they believe in themselves, they are passionate and have the enthusiasm of living to their maximum through making life experiences more fascinating. Most people who are below that level of success the ones stuck in a comfort zone of unhappiness drugging through each day without enthusiasm and passion expected need to believe that they can succeed, this is ...

LESSON 23 : STARTING WITH THE END IN MIND

This I have found to be a very good habit to practice, it enables you to think of the end result and start by taking the necessary steps towards the picture you have built in your mind and what achievements or the desired end product that you are looking forward to. Even in life we use our imagination to build our life by working towards our desires, if you look at your current situation there is a time for sure where you had thought and imagined about your current state of life and this comes down to starting with the end in mind. Use your imagination to build towards your desires by thinking or visualizing what you really want or desire and then finding the right steps to take to initiate the process. Some questions you should ask yourself in terms of career is what will the person I want to be in the future thank me for doing it right now, or what should I do to now to achieve what I want to be in 10 year time, and that is why goal setting is also important because i...

Lesson 22: GETTING THINGS DONE

Image
GETTING THINGS DONE According to the famous concept by James Allen on getting things done  which says that if any activity takes less than two minutes to do just take that time and do it, you will be grateful that you to do it. This is one key of productivity that I have found to work extremely well, just by ensuring that every activity that only takes two minutes maximum to do I ensure that I get over with it as quickly as possible this enables me to plan out efficiently in things that take more time by allocating the appropriate time to deal with each of the tasks that tend to take more time. It is a very good concept for dealing with procrastination, the other concept that is firmly put across in his book again is the concept of the open loop. This states that our daily lives are filled with open loops of things we want to do and most of the time we tend to procrastinate on important stuff which are key priorities that we need to deal with i...

Lesson 21: THE COFFEE CUP CONCEPT

Image
THE COFFEE CUP CONCEPT                                                                The founder of the high school I attended had a very unique perspective on life which I fell in love with. It was unique in the way it helped many of us achieve our objectives and followed the principle of service to the community. This was one of the key principle that he grew up with and started the famous institution to help people achieve their life long dream and make it in the world. His name was Dr. Geoffrey William Griffin and the values he left for us in his death bed I have found out to be very unique and efficient in the w...

Lesson 20 : ANYWAY

Image
ANYWAY People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered, LOVE THEM ANYWAY If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives, DO GOOD ANYWAY If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies, SUCCEED ANYWAY The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow, DO GOOD ANYWAY Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable, BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY What you spent years building may be destroyed overnight, BUILD ANYWAY People really need help but may attack you if you help them, HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY Give the world the best you have And you'll get kicked in the teeth, GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU'VE GOT ANYWAY. Mother Teresa

Lesson 19: VISUALIZATION

Image
VISUALIZATION This a powerful habit that anyone can acquire, the idea of seeing the end result before setting out to start the action. We know very well that often what we think, what we feel and what manifest is always a match every single time and the idea that things are always created twice is a fundamental idea that we can use to hack our thinking steering it to the right direction. By visualizing we materialize we make it real, it is the preview of the   end result of the next actions we want to take. Currently whatever you are doing or where you are is something that had already happened in your mind. You first form a vague image of what is it you want to do and unconsciously works toward that goal or situation. Notable inventions have always come from the mind first, someone imagines and makes a vivid picture of the soluti...

Lesson 18: THE VALUE OF MEDITATION

Image
THE VALUE OF MEDITATION For centuries man has  embraced the art of meditation, it is a forgotten habit by most of us though the  importance and value that we get from taking a few moments of our alone time to quiet our mind is of immense return to our productivity and well-being in general. Meditation helps to quiet the mind, daily the brain has numerous thoughts , ideas and imaginations passing through our mind, the level of internal mental chatter is so much great that it is impossible for a normal  person to stay focused for only 5 minutes without almost 10 thoughts crossing his mind. With the current level of stress and the forgotten art of solitude, we daily experience a fast paced day and environment not scheduling time in the day where we do nothing completely.  Can you remember the last time you just sat and did nothing at all, the last time you we...

Lesson 17: CHANGE IS INEVITABLE

Image
CHANGE IS INEVITABLE We often fail to notice the small changes that seem to take place in our daily lives, we are often too busy to take note of what might affect us in the near future. Sometime we see the changes happening all around us yet we still continue to deny that reality; we are too comfortable with our current situation and can be caught off-guard yet we knew it was coming. This is a paradigm that is deeply engraved in some of us that when the change happens we are caught off guard since we were too comfortable and not envisioning the future and not noting the small changes that were happening all around us. That is the classic story “Who moved my Cheese” portrays, we realize that change happens and we should always be prepared. Flexibility is key in adapting to the changes. Getting too comfortable in one place, relationship, organization or jobs might be risky if the small changes that happen on a daily basis are not monitored. When a change does occur try to...

Lesson 16. WHY HAVING A MENTOR IS ESSENTIAL

Image
WHY HAVING A MENTOR IS ESSENTIAL A mentor is someone who guides you and helps you in making certain decisions and also influences your life positively through the advice he gives out. He is like a compass in your life helping you out to make wise choices. I found out that having a mentor was essential the first time I had one If I needed a second opinion on stuff he would guide me effectively helping me not to make mistakes that he made during his time when he was the same state as I was.A mentor will help you greatly to avoid certain mistakes that he or she has experienced in his past, this why you get to learn a lot and be able to make sound decisions with a better perspective and avoiding the pitfall. I like to use analogies, Let’s take this example. You are a visitor to a new town or city, you still don’t have a vivid understanding of the city  so you get a local friend who has lived in that city his entire life to helping you get to know the city. It is poss...

Lesson 15: MONEY CAN BUY YOU HAPPINESS

Image
MONEY CAN BUY YOU HAPPINESS There is  common cliche’  that money can’t buy you happiness.  This is a misconception that mostly is placed out of context. We often here that many people who win the Lottery most of the time they spend their money and end up in depression and in  a far much worse state they were before they won the Lottery.  A recent study was done and it showed that actually money can buy you happiness it all matters on how the money is spent. The study found out that those who spend money on themselves usually end up not being in the happy state compared to those who used part of their money on others. In other words, happiness comes from the way we spend the money, the happy ones tend to spend money on others meaning we get more fulfillment when we give than when we spend it on ourselves. So let’s not conform to the general fallacy that Money cannot buy happiness, It is indeed true money can buy happiness but  the main point is h...

Lesson 14. THE IMPORTANCE OF GOAL SETTING.

Image
I have been wondering for a long time what is the key that differentiates the successful people from those who do not make it or conform to the world. .when you look around you find out that there is a thin line that separates these two sides and that is what I want to talk about. I have come to realize that most successful people set goals and have an objective to achieve that particular objective. They are passionate about life and they go out daily knowing what is the end objective and target to achieve.Take this ex...

Lesson 13. THE NEXT 30 DAYS TRY SOMETHING NEW

Image
I want to challenge you today for the next thirty days to go out and do something new and exciting that is productive. I want you to note down a list of things that you’ve been trying to do for a while or obtaining new habits that make you more productive. I tried this challenge and the results were tremendous, during my 30 day challenge i decided to do something new for the next 30 days, tried to get out of my comfort zone. As it is said you most often take 30 days to acquire a new habit by...

Lesson 12. SCHEDULING YOUR PRIORITIES

Image
Daily we do numerous activity that improve our general well being, and it is everyone goal to be productive each day and to accomplish the daily work that is expected.But more often it is the opposite that happen, we find ourselves distracted at times and not knowing what to do after we complete some of the task we wanted to do. I found out that at the end of the day, a large part of my daily activities consisted of work that made me feel good and stuff that are not top of my list to accomplish, like rea...

Lesson 11. THE UNEXPLORED GARDEN

Image
Let’s think of a simple garden, a small piece of land that is fertile and anything can grow on this piece of land. The owner of this land can choose to plant anything on this land that he prefers and makes a commitment to manage it, and look after it till the produce matures. More often the farmer carefully looks after his garden ensuring nothing that is unexpected or that was never planted to grow on his garden. If by any chance a weed grows he pulls it out and take necessary measures to ensure that the wee...
