Lesson 5: THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

Well today is another day and one of the major lesson I learnt was how having  a positive thinking habit can be effective. In a day according to research shows that on average we have 60000 thoughts in a day and most people do worry too much in those thoughts and consequently this affects their daily activities.

We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.

The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: therefore, guard accordingly, and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.




For example last week i organised a prank for one of my best friend in the morning, so this friend of mine Bob we usually go to class in the morning together and today i wanted to see what the effect of  words affecting our thoughts. so when we woke up last week Wednesday i had organised with some other friends of mine who Bob had never met or knew at all to meet us when we will be walking to class in the morning and to say certain specific words directed to Bob.

So when we woke up as usual we we left for classes happy looking forward to the day but i interjected before leaving telling Bob today you really look sick are you feeling okay, i think there is something wrong with you today are you sure yo are fine? Bob as expected was surprised by this  and assure me he was feeling perfectly fine.

As we walked along the path to class we happen to meet one of my other friend as we were embracing he also made a comment directed to Bob as I had earlier asked him to say, '' Bob something seems is not okay, you look sick you must be having Malaria i can remember last time I was sick i looked just like that'', this really took a toll on Bob but he repeated the same words he had told me earlier that he was feeling perfectly well and nothing was the matter.

We continued on our way to class and again as i had planned we met one of my other friend whom Bob had never met and he also made some comments in lie with Bob not looking okay today and as usual Bob assured him that he was perfectly feeling okay.

Finally we got to class and some of my classmates whom i had also asked to tell Bob the same story of him not looking okay today did their part perfectly and now this really got into Bob but he assured us still that he was feeling fine.Later we parted ways and I headed over to do my stuff promising to meet later in the evening back at our crib.

Well in the evening when i went back to my crib i was astonished to find Bob in bed sweating profusely, I asked him what was wrong and he affirmed to me that i was right he is sick and he had noticed that earlier, I was also shocked maybe he was truly sick so we decided to head over to the health unit and see a doctor. By now Bob could not even walk he was trembling all over and sweating profusely. after some tests the lab guys  realized he was perfectly fine and gave him pain killers just to make him feel better.
After that I told him about the prank that i had on him today and he was as expected furious but after knowing that it was a prank  things changed suddenly, he was now feeling perfectly fine and he went back to his normal ways yet when i had checked on him earlier he could not even walk  hehehehe! this was ridiculous.

Well what i learned from that is that we sometimes allow thoughts of other people to influence us and thinking about something that is not helpful will influence the state in which you are in. Our thoughts and actions are always a match every single time and we should always try to guard our thoughts just like a garden when you allow weed to take over it does not look beautiful as expected, bu when you plant lowers it blossoms and grows perfectly well. Just like the garden our mind needs positive and things that make it grow strong and be able to be strong when needed.
Your current state of being is as a result of all the things that you have thought about, everything you see around you started as a thought even cars and aeroplanes started from just a thought someone had. Once you start replacing a negative thought with a positive one you will start having positive results.

A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.

Our minds influence the key activity of the brain, which then influences everything; perception, cognition, thoughts and feelings, personal relationships; they're all a projection of you.

REMEMBER TO GUARD YOUR THOUGHTS AND THINK POSITIVELY.
